Tampere University is the second largest university in Finland, established in 2019 through the merger of Tampere University of Technology and the University of Tampere. Active since 1996, the Network and Information Security Group (NISEC), in the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences aims primarily at bringing together expertise in education, research, and practice in the field of information security and privacy. Within QUBIP, NISEC leads the efforts to integrate state-of-the-art PQC implementations in OpenSSL and NSS through loadable modules, to seamlessly reach applications which are built on top of these cryptographic libraries.
